Job summary

Stardom Employment Consultants seeks a Jr. Accountant – Construction to support the finance team with project cost tracking, invoicing, and financial reporting. This entry-level role emphasizes accuracy and timely data in a fast-paced construction environment.

The ideal candidate has an accounting degree and 1–2 years of experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently or with a team while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or related industries.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with QuickBooks or Sage 300 is a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recording and reconciling construction project costs and expenses
• Process vendor invoices and subcontractor payments accurately and on time
• Support month-end close activities including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audit readiness
• Collaborate with project managers to track budgets and cost variances
• Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries for management review
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
