Job summary

Walbridge is offering a summer internship program designed to give hands-on experience in construction and engineering. Interns are assigned to areas such as Estimating, Scheduling, Field Operations, Design Management, Cost, Technology and more, with mentors to guide you.

Positions are available across the U.S. at field sites or corporate and regional offices, with exposure to real-world challenges and opportunities to develop skills and professional networks.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture.
• Be passionate about construction, engineering, or related fields.
• Have ability to travel.
• Have strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Be eager to learn, collaborate, and contribute to a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute: Assist in coordination of on-site construction projects and engineering activities.
• Collaborate: Work with experienced team members including Superintendents, Project Managers, Estimators, Schedulers and others.
• Support: Complete documentation in support of subcontractor planning and administration to ensure quality of construction in support of overall project schedule.

Responsibilities

Your key r esponsibilities may include

• Contribute: Assist in coordination of on-site construction projects and engineering activities.
• Collaborate: Work with experienced team members including Superintendents, Project Managers, Estimators, Schedulers and others.
• Support: Complete documentation in support of subcontractor planning and administration to ensure quality of construction in support of overall project schedule s.
• Interpret: Understand and interpret designs, drawings, specifications, submittals, and other construction documents.

Qualifications

To Qualify, you must

• Must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture.
• Be passionate about construction, engineering, or related fields.
• Have ability to travel.
• Have strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Be eager to learn, collaborate, and contribute to a dynamic team environment.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Previous internship, construction, or military experience.
• Demonstrated leadership experience through projects, competitions, student organizations or volunteer work.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced dynamic environments.
