Chesapeake Contracting Group, an award-winning commercial general contractor, is seeking Construction Interns for hands-on experience across MD, VA, and NC. Located in Owings Mills, Annapolis, Herndon, or Raleigh offices, interns work in field or office settings with guidance and mentorship to learn and contribute to impactful construction projects.

Interns enroll in Construction Management or Engineering programs, supporting planning, budgeting, and project documentation while developing skills

Qualificações

• Enrolled and pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and other project management software.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the project manager in daily tasks related to planning, budgeting, and execution of construction plans.
• Participate in on-site walkthroughs, observing and tracking construction progress.
• Help identify and report any safety or quality concerns related to the project.
• Engage in hands‑on construction tasks alongside skilled laborers, to learn and understand the processes and techniques.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely delivery of required materials and equipment.
• Assist in handling change orders and project documents, such as RFIs and submittals.
• Support the project manager & estimating team in maintaining daily records.
• Willingness to be adaptable and flexible as the project demands change.
