Job summary

Donohoe Construction Company is seeking a motivated Construction Intern to join our team in the Washington, D.C. area.

You will provide administrative and technical support across multiple projects, assisting with submittals, RFIs, scheduling, and billing processes while coordinating field operations to meet contract documents and project schedules. You will work closely with the Project Engineer and Assistant Project Manager, develop trade scope packages, and help maintain safety and quality

Qualifications

• Preferably working towards an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a Construction-related discipline such as Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• Previous internship experience in construction management is preferred.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project file setup and administration of project closeout.
• Support development of trade scope packages and daily project requirements with Project Engineer/Assistant PM.
• Review submittals for contract compliance and track subcontractor/supplier contract requirements.
• Maintain logs and tracking for multiple projects and coordinate with field operations.
• Participate in safety inspections and ensure proper PPE usage.
• Assist in preparing Daily Work Reports and attend weekly subcontractor foreman meetings.
