Job summary

HDR is seeking a Construction Intern to gain real-world experience on exciting projects by applying engineering techniques on project sites and in offices supporting construction administration roles.

You will work under the guidance of a senior engineer to support proposals, including procurement, project controls, interpreting drawings and reviewing submittals, plus observe construction activities in the field and engage with mentoring programs for young professionals.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world experience on projects by applying engineering techniques on sites and in offices.
• Support proposal efforts, procurement, and project controls, interpreting drawings and reviewing submittals.
• Accompany HDR staff to observe construction activities in the field.
• Connect with mentors and HDR's young professionals programs.
• Perform other duties as needed.
