Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company offers internship opportunities in multiple Texas locations (Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio) and Tulsa. Interns will gain hands-on experience across office and job site environments, with tasks spanning quantity take-off, surveys, and coordination with project teams.

Open to undergraduate students seeking practical construction field exposure. Housing may be provided in certain situations and relocation to remote sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Open to undergraduate students interested in gaining hands-on practical experience in the construction field.
• Qualified applicants will assist project teams in managing construction projects including all phases from bidding to final completion.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quantity take-off and layout tasks.
• Support preconstruction and as-built surveys and shop drawing review.
• Maintain logs for submittals, RFIs, and invoices; assist with costings and estimates.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, and subcontractors; participate in weekly progress meetings.
• Assist with bidding, reviewing construction documents, revisions, and ensuring field records.
