Job summary

Home Creations in Moore, OK is seeking a Construction Assistant to support the superintendent with construction, maintenance, and lawn care across residential sites. You will walk every room, monitor quality, coordinate with sub-contractors, and help ensure timetables and safety standards are met.

This hourly, non-exempt role requires a high school diploma and basic labor experience. Workdays are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with opportunities to grow within the Construction department.

Location:

2240 N. Broadway, Moore, Oklahoma 73160, Harrah, Choctaw, and various locations (indoor and outdoor)

Hours:

Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm

General Purpose:

To assist the superintendent with construction, maintenance, and lawn maintenance activities.

Supervision Received:

Works under the direct supervision of the Superintendent/Builder/Construction Manager.

Supervision Exercised:

None

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Maintain landscaping, yards, shrubs, trees, and watering sod.
• Help maintain clean streets and gutters.
• Perform minor touch ups and some activities on punch-list.
• Responsible for the level of quality in product
• Comprehend the process of residential construction and use common knowledge
• Walk every room of every house, every day
• Ability to deliver houses in the allowed time as set forth by contracts
• Keep signs upright and orderly
• Communicate with sub-contractors
• Lock and unlock doors daily
• Present recommendations to Builder and Superintendent
• Attend all staff meetings
• Any other duties assigned
• Safety sensitive position.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Work Environment:

Exposure to outdoor work sites; dirt, dust, fumes, heat, cold, noise, odors, wetness, humidity, and darkness. Some bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, crawling, lifting, carrying, and walking. Subject to driving to various locations in varying weather conditions. Safety sensitive position.

Physical Demands:

Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, and to stoop or kneel. Must be able to carry equipment up to 50 lbs. Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

Tools and Equipment:

Tablet/Phone if deemed necessary, tape measure and levels, and basic painting and hand/power tools.
