Job summary

Home Creations is seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee onsite management of multiple residential communities in Moore, OK. You will coordinate with material suppliers and contractors to drive build progress from start to finish, ensuring schedules, safety, and quality meet contract requirements.

Your role requires daily site walkthroughs, clear supervision of assistants, and diligent documentation for reports and inspections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Architecture, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of work-related experience in construction preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Onsite management of one or more residential construction communities.
• Ensure quality of construction and adherence to plans and specs.
• Walk every room of every house daily to monitor progress and quality.
• Set clear expectations for supervised staff.
• Document all activities and assist with reporting.
• Ensure compliance with state laws, safety practices, and city inspections.
• Attend construction and staff meetings; support Construction/Field Manager.
• Manage time to meet contracts and closing dates; coordinate weekly with sales and homeowners.

2240 N. Broadway, Moore, Oklahoma 73160, various OKC metro locations (indoor and outdoor)

Hours

Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm

General Purpose

To assist the company in scheduling of materials and contractors to construct houses from start to finish.

Supervision Received

Works under the direct supervision of the Construction Manager

Supervision Exercised

Supervises all Assistant Superintendents and Interns. Make clear expectations to the customers in a professional manner.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities For Construction Superintendent

• Onsite management of one or more residential construction communities.
• Comprehend the process of residential construction and use common knowledge
• Responsible for the level of quality in product
• Walk every room of every house, every day
• Make clear the expectations of those under supervision
• Document all activities and assist company with reports
• Assuring compliance with state laws and safe work practices as well as city inspection requirements
• Attend construction meetings and staff meetings
• Any other duties assigned by Construction or Field Manager
• Ability to deliver houses in the allowed time as set forth by contracts and 100% complete by closing date
• Meet with salesperson weekly and contact homeowner weekly
• Approve the weekly bills in a timely manner
• Be aware of neighborhood appearance and maintenance daily
• Responsible for ordering variance and return of extra materials
• Any other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications for Construction Superintendent

• High school diploma/GED Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Architecture, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of work related experience in construction related industry preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation

Knowledge, Skills, And Ability

• Complete 10 hours of OSHA Safety Training
• Knowledge of basic building design and construction systems
• Knowledge of erosion control guidelines
• Ability to read construction documents and specification manuals
• Ability to interpret and apply state law, local policy and administrative procedures
• Ability to Time Management
• Ability to compile and analyze data
• Ability to manage personnel
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Willingness to be a member of a dedicated team
• Strong customer service skills
• Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in working with computers and other types of technology

Work Environment

• Exposure to outdoor work sites; dirt, dust, fumes, heat, cold, noise, odors, wetness, humidity, and darkness.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to carry equipment up to 50+ lbs. Some bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, crawling, lifting, carrying, and walking. Subject to driving to various locations in varying weather conditions. Safety sensitive position.
