Job summary

SERVPRO of Georgetown & Horry County - 12176 is seeking a Reconstruction Technician in Myrtle Beach, SC. You will join a team that handles repairs for fire and water-damaged homes, performing tasks from rough carpentry to drywall and painting.

You will be trained while contributing to mitigation efforts as needed. You must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to work on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is ideal but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in repairs of homes damaged by Fire & Water.
• Work with an experienced team to perform rough and finish carpentry, drywall, paint, insulation.
• Help with basic plumbing and electrical tasks as needed.
• Learn water and fire mitigation basics to support mitigation teams.

The Reconstruction Technician will assist in the repairs of homes damaged by Fire & Water damage. You will be paired with an experienced team member who will guide you through the process. Tasks include the following: rough and finish carpentry, drywall, paint, insulation, basic plumbing and electrical. You will also be trained in basics of water & fire mitigation so you can assist, when needed, the mitigation teams.

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is ideal but not required

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.
