Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking an Insurance Program Manager to oversee procurement and ongoing support of company and project insurance programs. The role acts as a liaison between Risk Management, project teams, insurers and brokers, guiding on program design and training across the organization.

You will manage renewals, secure project-based coverage, review placement requests, and provide guidance on contract insurance requirements, while driving process improvements and coaching team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, risk management, or insurance.
• CRIS designation preferred.
• 7+ years addressing client insurance needs including programs and day-to-day inquiries.
• Must obtain Iowa Insurance Producer License (Property & Casualty) within 6 months.
• CIC or CPCU designation within 3 years of hire.
• Knowledge of construction insurance programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of insurance coverage for construction projects including risk assessment and contract insurance review.
• Oversee renewal of lines of business (property, casualty, workers’ comp, auto, professional, pollution, cyber, etc.).
• Secure project-based insurance at competitive prices and bind with approvals.
• Review project-specific insurance placement requests; obtain quotes and address questions.
• Provide guidance on contract insurance requirements and client needs.
• Develop policies for controlled insurance program administration and training.
• Identify training opportunities and lead related programs.
