PACO Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to support WMATA MATOC projects.

You will conduct daily inspections of structural, concrete, track, and finish work and produce DIRs with photographic documentation in a fast-paced transit environment. Requirements include a Civil Engineering Technology degree, NICET II or ACI certification preferred, and at least 5 years of field inspection experience on transit or heavy-civil projects.

• NICET Level II or ACI Field Inspector Certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ field inspection on transit or heavy-civil projects.
• Proficient in mobile inspection apps and Microsoft Office.
• Strong observational and report-writing skills.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct daily inspections of structural, concrete, track, and finish work.
• Generate Daily Inspection Reports (DIRs), including photographic documentation.
• Verify materials, tolerances, and workmanship per contract drawings and specs.
• Track punch-list items and coordinate with field crews, QC Manager, and Safety Manager on non-conformance issues.
• Inspect civil, mechanical, structural, roofing or general construction work within demonstrated technical expertise.
• Compare installed work with drawings, specifications, codes and approved submittals.
• Prepare daily reports, photographic records, deficiency logs and corrective-action follow-up.
• Coordinate testing, punch lists and field issues with engineers, contractors and WMATA personnel.

CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR–TRANSIT INFRASTRUCTURE -- WMATA

PACO Group is seeking an experienced professional to support WMATA MATOC projects. Perform construction inspections and document compliance with contract requirements across multiple WMATA task orders.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of structural, concrete, track, and finish work
• Generate Daily Inspection Reports (DIRs), including photographic documentation

• Minimum 5 years’ field inspection on transit or heavy-civil projects
• Proficient in mobile inspection apps and Microsoft Office
• Strong observational and report-writing skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Transit, rail, WMATA or comparable public infrastructure inspection experience.
• Demonstrated inspection coverage across concurrent task orders.
• Applicable NICET, ACI, ICC, AWS or trade-specific inspection credentials.

Hourly Rate Range: Approximately $40 – $50 per hour; Commensurate with experience
