Job summary

TPD is seeking experienced Construction Inspector Supervisors and Managers to oversee field inspections for roadway, drainage, paving, and structural work. Ideal candidates have a minimum of five years of on-site experience, strong communication, and the ability to lead inspection teams across multiple concurrent projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is optional.
• Certifications ACI / NECEPT / PennDOT concrete are preferred.
• NICET II–IV is preferred for inspection roles.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily inspection of construction work to ensure compliance with plans and specs (roadway, drainage, paving, foundations, etc.).
• Supervise inspection teams on site across multiple projects.
• Approve on-site observations in daily reports and other required documents.
• Measure and record quantities for payment.
• Prepare as-built drawings and serve as on-site project representative.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide daily inspection of construction work within a given discipline to ensure the project complies with plans and specifications. Such as Roadway Inspection of earthwork, drainage, paving, etc.; Structural inspection of foundations, piles, concrete, deck formwork, MSE walls, sign structures, etc.; ADA Compliance Inspection of curb ramps and sidewalks, etc.; Traffic Signal Inspections.
• Supervise Inspection Teams
• Approve all on-site observations of construction progress, equipment, manpower, and materials on a Daily Inspection Report and various other reports required.
• Measure and record quantities for payment
• Prepare as-built drawings
• Serving as on-site project representative.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (not required)
• At least one or more of the following certifications are preferred: ACI, NECEPT or PennDOT concrete
• NICET Certification: II-IV is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and ability to meet multiple deadlines
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid Driver’s License
