Job summary

CSEngineering seeks a Construction Inspector to support inspection, surveillance, quality assurance, and documentation for DoD project work at a Colorado Springs installation. You will interpret plans, verify workmanship, and document construction progress on site.

Qualifications include a degree in Construction Management or Construction Technology, 3+ years of construction experience, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of extensive construction and contract-related experience.
• Experience inspecting construction materials, workmanship, utilities, and building systems.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract requirements.
• Knowledge of construction safety practices, inspection methods, construction trades, and applied mathematics.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite inspections to verify compliance with contract requirements, drawings, specifications, schedules, codes, and safety standards.
• Monitor construction progress, sequencing, workmanship, materials, equipment installation, and contractor quality-control activities.
• Review submittals, progress schedules, payment requests, and project documentation.
• Interpret plans and specifications, identify conflicts or field issues, and provide technical recommendations.
• Inspect delivered and installed materials and equipment; document nonconforming work and support corrective actions.
• Maintain daily inspection logs, safety observations, formal reports, deficiency records, and records of field changes and project discussions.
• Participate in preconstruction meetings, progress meetings, final inspections, and project closeout activities.
