Description

Fisher Associates is seeking a Construction Inspector/Resident Engineer (NICET III or IV) for a minor roadway work project including WZTC in the City of Tonawanda for 2025. The expected duration is approximately three months.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Establish and maintain strong client relationships adhering to the Fisher Clientship philosophy.
• Conduct regular on-site inspections to verify construction activities align with plans, specifications, and codes.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain detailed inspection records, including photographs, notes, and reports.
• Prepare inspection reports with findings, discrepancies, and corrective actions.
• Communicate inspection results and issues with contractors, project managers, and engineers.
• Provide guidance on corrective measures for non-compliance.
• Monitor quality of materials and workmanship.
• Identify deviations from plans and specifications.
• Evaluate safety protocols and address hazards or violations promptly.
• Collaborate with project team to resolve issues and ensure smooth progress.
• Attend meetings to provide updates and address concerns.

Requirements

• NICET Certification or NYSDOT Equivalent experience.
• Proof of OSHA 10 training completion.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, access and navigate construction sites, and work in various environmental conditions, including dust, noise, and weather variations.
