Description of Work

This is a repost, all previous applicants must reapply to be considered. This posting is for an Engineering Technician I position in the Goldsboro Construction Resident Engineer’s Office.

This position performs technical duties supporting engineers and other professionals in areas such as construction inspection, surveying, materials testing, materials sampling, erosion control inspection and construction traffic control audits on assigned projects.

Offer of Employment

Offer of employment will be contingent upon successful completion of NCDOT post offer employment evaluation.

Salary

Grade NC07 $37,377 - $65,408

Management Preferences
  • Knowledge and understanding of general concepts, practices, and theories used in construction, construction inspection, and/or construction surveying
  • Experience maintaining standard daily records and reports
  • Knowledge of standards and specifications and plan reading experience
Minimum Education and Experience

  • Associate’s degree in an applicable area of Engineering Technology, Survey Technology or a related curriculum from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
