Job summary

Traffic Planning and Design, Inc. is actively hiring Construction Inspectors at multiple levels in the United States.

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of experience, NICET certification preferred, and a strong work ethic with the ability to manage multiple projects within a team-oriented, flexible environment. Responsibilities include daily on-site inspection across roadway, structural and ADA elements, thorough documentation, quantity measurement for payments, and producing

Qualifications

NICET Certification I–IV preferred.
ACI, NJSAT, TCC or CCTC certifications preferred.
EIT or B.S. in Civil Engineering is a plus (not required).
Experience with bridge construction is a plus.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Provide daily inspection of construction work within a given discipline to ensure compliance with plans and specifications (roadway earthwork, drainage, paving; foundations, piles, concrete, deck formwork, MSE walls, sign structures; ADA compliance inspection; traffic signal inspections).
Document all on-site observations of construction progress, equipment, manpower, and materials on daily inspection reports and other required reports.
Measure and record quantities for payment.
Prepare as-built drawings.
Serve as on-site project representative.
