Job summary

Traffic Planning and Design, Inc. is hiring Construction Inspectors (multiple levels) to join a team focused on roadway, bridge and ADA projects. Ideal candidates have a minimum of 3 years of field inspection experience and NICET certification is preferred.

ACI/NJSAT/TCC/CCTC certifications are desirable; EIT or BS in Civil Engineering is a plus. The firm emphasizes a collaborative, flexible and supportive work environment with opportunities across several projects and locations in the region.

Qualifications

• 3+ years field inspection experience preferred.
• NICET I–IV preferred; other certs noted as desirable.
• EIT or BS in Civil Engineering a plus (not required).
• Bridge construction experience a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily inspection of construction work to ensure compliance with plans and specs across roadway, drainage, paving, foundations, and related elements.
• Document on-site observations in daily reports and other required documentation.
• Measure and record quantities for payment.
• Prepare as-built drawings.
• Serve as on-site project representative.
