Job summary

Mead & Hunt is seeking aMid-Level Construction Inspector to provide inspection services for transportation construction projects in South Carolina. The role ensures work and materials meet plans and specifications, with daily documentation and potential field testing.

The ideal candidate will hold relevant construction management certifications or degrees and be willing to travel regionally, with occasional extended hours or overnight stays.

Qualifications

Two or more applicable certifications are required or preferred.
Experience with SCDOT standards, specifications, and material testing procedures.

Responsibilities

Provide inspection services for transportation construction projects.
Ensure work and materials comply with proposals, plans and specs.
Perform measurements, calculations and documentation of inspected work daily.
Travel to construction sites across Pee Dee Region/SCDOT District 5; valid driver's license required.
Occasional overtime and overnight stays; some night work may be required.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field

Associate’s Degree in Construction Management or related field

4+ years of relevant experience (no degree)
