BKF Engineers, Inc. is hiring a Construction Inspector to perform on-site inspections ensuring compliance with contract requirements and permits. The role demands 4+ years in supervising or inspecting civil projects and a valid CA driver's license.

Preferred certifications include CPII, ICC Reinforced Concrete Inspection, ACI Field-Testing Grade 1, SWPPP, Fall protection, First Aid/CPR, and an EIT or PE license. Competitive benefits and PTO accompany the position.

Formación

College degree or 5+ years of work experience on transportation or civil projects.
4+ years of experience in supervision or inspection of engineering construction work.
Valid California Class C driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsabilidades

Inspects and reports on a variety of construction projects.
Advises Resident Engineer or Agency Project Manager and informs contractors of variances from plans.
Takes samples of materials and assists in field tests; refers samples for lab analysis.
Checks public utilities locations to avoid interference with work.
Reviews traffic control plans and site safety; inspects earthwork, asphalt, and concrete placement.
Maintains inspection records, daily diary, photo log, and contract item quantities.
Assists in the review of submittals, RFIs, and CC0s.
Verifies material acceptability via COmpliance certificates and test reports.
