Job summary

HDR is hiring a Construction Inspector to work on our Florida CEI program at project sites in Crystal River and Tampa, engaging on FDOT projects including milling and resurfacing, bridge construction, and earthwork. The position focuses on ensuring work meets design, safety, and quality standards.

As part of HDR's employee-owned Field Services team, you will conduct observations, read drawings, and collaborate with Project Managers, contributing to accurate reporting and ongoing site

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; substitutions allowed with 8 years of relevant inspection experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of construction inspection experience.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Proven problem-solving and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to HDR's employee-owned culture and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document observations of construction for civil infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and field staff.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specs; identify discrepancies.
• Provide guidance to less-experienced field staff.
• Perform other duties as needed.
