Job summary

HDR, Inc. is hiring a Construction Inspector to join our Florida CEI program on a Crystal River project. You will monitor civil construction, read drawings, and document progress to ensure quality and safety on FDOT projects.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of inspection experience, a high school diploma or higher, and proficiency with MS Office. HDR is employee-owned and offers a collaborative, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; 8 years of relevant inspection experience may substitute diploma.
• At least 3 years of construction inspection experience.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Demonstrated problem-solving and strong documentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document observations of civil construction and progress.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and field staff.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specs; identify discrepancies.
• Provide guidance to less-experienced staff.
• Perform other duties as needed.
