Project Scope for Highway Inspector/Engineer

Assessment and review of existing or new municipal facilities, including the condition of roadways, trails, curbs, sidewalks, culverts, water and sewer lines, bridges, ancillary structures, intersection and traffic control, and other transportation facilities. Development of conceptual alternatives for construction projects.

Qualifications/Skills

• Prior NYSDOT (New York State Department of Transportation) experience is required.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license to access job sites.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Prior Federal-Aid Project experience is required.

Pay Rate

$40.00 - $45.00 per hour (depending on experience and education).
