Job Title:

Electronics Final/Shipping Inspector - 2nd Shift

Reporting To:

Manager, QA Engrg.

Work Schedule:

Onsite - Buffalo, NY

Under the supervision of the Supervisor of A&T Inspection, the Final Shipping Inspector ensures that completed hardware and software comply with Moog, customer, and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements. They coordinate activities with Moog Sales, Quality, A&T, and Shipping personnel, as well as customer, government, and FAA representatives, to ensure timely and accurate adherence to shipping procedures.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED preferred; demonstrated ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer instructions in English, and perform basic arithmetic.
  • At least 3 years of experience in inspection, quality assurance, or a related field, including knowledge of FAA processes related to Final Shipping Inspection.
  • Participation in the company's FAA Drug & Alcohol Program is required due to FAA regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work.
Responsibilities:
Inspection:
  • Perform final inspection of hardware for external visual and dimensional features.
  • Review test data sheets for conformance and legibility.
  • Ensure shipping documentation is correctly executed and approved.
  • Be FAA certified and oversee Moog's FAA Repair Station as a certified FAA Repairman.
  • Certify hardware conformity as an FAA Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative.
Coordinating:
  • Present hardware and software to customers and government representatives for approval.
  • Coordinate shipping procedures, including data packages, packing slips, and shipping papers, anticipating potential delays.

Salary Range:

Buffalo, NY: $32.00 - $40.00 hourly
