Job summary

AI Engineers, Inc. (AIE) is seeking a Construction Inspector to support DOT projects, primarily across New Jersey. The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently or with a team, and a can-do attitude.

You will read plans, prepare daily reports, and ensure client needs are met on busy construction sites. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, 3+ years in construction materials and inspection, and NJ project experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of construction materials, methods, and procedures experience.
• 2+ years of field inspection experience in civil, highway or related engineering.
• Experience with NJ DOT, NJTA, or NJ Transit projects is required.
• Experience with Bridge or Roadway construction inspection.
• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related, preferred.
• NETTCP HMA/CI/S&A and/or ACI certification, NICET II-IV certification, Professional Engineering License or CCM/CMIT Certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Facilitate the project team and ensure the client has the inspection reports they need.
• Build relationships with the client and oversee the construction of projects.
• Prepare daily inspection reports.
• Perform quantity computations.
• Perform material sampling and testing.

AI Engineers, Inc. (AIE) is looking for an Inspector to join our Construction Engineering Inspection services, supporting DOT projects across New Jersey. This is an immediate opening for an enthusiastic, highly-organized Inspector with construction inspection experience to join our experienced team of Construction Inspection specialists. Requirements/Qualifications:

• Considerable knowledge of Architecture, Engineering, Construction inspection process and procedures
• Ability to meet deadlines and complete work in a timely manner.
• Ability and willingness to travel to work sites.
