Job summary

The Metropolitan Council's Environmental Services division operates and maintains nine water resource recovery facilities in the Twin Cities metro area, seeking two Construction Inspector staff to ensure conformance with design plans at St. Paul, Shakopee, or Eagan facilities.

These inspectors will review construction activities, monitor progress, and coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to maintain quality and safety across projects.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with five years experience
• Associate degree with three years experience
• Bachelor's degree with one year experience

Join an award-winning wastewater industry leader in protecting our environment! The Metropolitan Council’s Environmental Services (ES) division operates and maintains nine water resource recovery facilities in the Twin Cities metro area.

There are two (2) vacancies available.

The Construction Inspector will be responsible for inspecting and monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance with construction specifications and plans by working with contractors and subcontractors. These positions will be based at one of three water resource recovery facilities located in either St. Paul, Shakopee or Eagan.

Any of the following combinations in completed education (degree field of study in Construction Management) and experience (in related heavy industrial construction management/inspection):

• High school diploma/GED with five years of experience
• Associate degree with three years of experience
• Bachelor's degree with one year of experience

License: Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
