Metropolitan Council Environmental Services in Empire/Farmington, MN, seeks a Business Unit Manager for the East BU to provide leadership, direction, and technical support. The role focuses on building a strong BU culture while ensuring safe, compliant operations.

You will drive short- and long-term objectives in line with Wastewater Treatment Services strategy, oversee BU processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for continuous improvement.

The Business Unit Manager provides overall leadership,management, and technical support for the East Business Unit to ensurecompliance with the environmental and safety regulations. Develops the businessunit culture, oversees the business unit processes, and develops and monitorsshort and long-term business unit objectives in accordance with the WastewaterTreatment Services strategic plan.

Any of the following combinations in completed education (degreefield of study in engineering, chemistry, biology, environmental studies, orrelated field) and experience (in wastewater treatment or related field):

• Highschool diploma/GED with twelve or more years of experience, including fiveor more years of experience in a lead, supervisory, project management,and/or management role
• Associatedegree with ten or more years of experience, including five or more yearsof experience in a lead, supervisory, project management, and/ormanagement role
• Bachelor'sor higher degree with eight or more years of experience, including five ormore years of experience in a lead, supervisory, project management,and/or management role

Additional Requirements:

• Class Awastewater certification for the State of Minnesota OR ability to obtaincertification within twelve months.
• Driver'slicense with an acceptable driving record.
