Qualifications

Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a qualified Construction Inspector to join our Construction Engineering & Inspection group in Philadelphia, PA.

Work with our construction engineering inspection and project management professionals to provide cost-effective solutions to help maintain the integrity of a variety of infrastructures. Responsibilities
  • Perform quality control construction observations for roadway and bridge construction, general site work, maintenance and protection of traffic, drainage, earthwork, paving, concrete work, reinforcement steel placement, utility relocation work, coordination, and safety.
  • Read and interpret contract documents and construction plans.
  • Monitor and track construction sequencing, cost, and performance decisions.
  • Ensure proper document control, quality assurance, and project records are maintained.
  • Maintain consistency and quality in record keeping of various contracts.
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of construction inspection experience, including roadway (earthwork, sub-base, concrete and asphalt pavement, drainage, lighting, guardrails, pavement markings, signs, maintenance of traffic for day or nighttime operations).
  • Bridge construction inspection experience (rehabilitation & new) is a plus.
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • CTQP Certification preferred.
  • NICET certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong time management and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of PennDOT road specifications.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English for communication and comprehension purposes.
