About the Role

MWH is currently seeking a Construction Inspector to support water infrastructure projects in Oroville, CA.

As Construction Inspector, the candidate will be responsible for conducting and documenting inspections during the construction of projects and ensuring that all work is constructed in accordance with the quality requirements of the contract drawings and specifications.

Essential Functions

• Representing the project owner in the field, provide single-point field inspection of Contractor’s work.
• On a daily basis, monitor and record contractor's methods, procedures, and processes for compliance with the contract and prepare a comprehensive Daily Inspection Report with measurement of daily installed quantities and resources utilized.
• Inspect the work for completeness and conformance with the plans, specifications, and applicable regulations and ordinances.
• Assist the construction manager with the development of as-built drawings.
• Document compliance and non-compliance of completed work with established quality control and quality assurance processes and procedures.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Minimum of 3 years' inspection experience in the construction of water infrastructure projects.
• ICC/ICBO Certifications in Reinforced Concrete, Welding, Masonry Inspection
• Thorough understanding of construction safety, quality control, and general contract management requirements necessary.
• Confined Space Certification
• Equivalent combination of related experience and technical training may be substituted.

Compensation

• The total hourly rate is $92.24 per the General Prevailing Wage Determination (PWD) made by the Director of Industrial Relations
