Job Overview:

As a construction inspector, you’ll monitor on-site activities, inspect materials, and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and contract documents related to excavations, drainage, road surfaces, and structures. Your responsibilities include taking field measurements, reporting daily production rates, scheduling work phases, and supporting documentation for final estimates. You will report to the Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, observe, document, and verify work in progress to ensure compliance with schedule and contract documents.
• Perform complex mathematical calculations and measurements using engineering inspection practices.
• Maintain daily reports on activities, labor, equipment, and materials.
• Conduct on-site material testing and produce as-constructed sketches.

Required Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of construction inspection experience.
• DOT Certifications in relevant areas.
• Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Valid driver’s license with a good record.
• Ability to work outdoors in various conditions and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 35 lbs.
