Job Description:

Are you detail-oriented? Ready to apply your inspection skills to urban construction projects? Parsons is hiring Associate Inspectors with a keen eye for detail to join our growing team, enhancing our community fabric. Our extensive experience in this field, combined with your skills, will propel your career forward. We seek versatile, enthusiastic inspectors who excel in flexible, team-oriented environments and possess strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

In this role, you will:

  1. Perform well-defined and sometimes complex inspection tasks, including monitoring quality control procedures.
  2. Inspect various aspects of work on construction sites and conduct continuous surveillance to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
  3. Document nonconformance issues and participate in discussions for resolution.
  4. Focus inspections in areas such as civil, structural, interior finishes, roofing, mechanical, or electrical, based on assignment.
  5. Must be local to the Washington DC area.
Responsibilities:
  • Inspect commercial construction installations for compliance with regulations.
  • Perform ongoing inspections of all work performed by the general contractor.
  • Ensure workmanship quality across all construction labor and subcontracted tasks.
  • Verify equipment alignment and balancing; contribute to safety practices and reports.
  • Assist in developing quality control reports and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as appropriate.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in a technical or construction-related field plus 10+ years of experience in commercial, historical, or industrial construction. A high school diploma with equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications; familiarity with construction processes related to the area of assignment.

Note: Relocation assistance and per diem are not available. Local candidates are preferred.

Salary Range: $35.05 - $72.93
