Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspection, sampling, and testing of contractor’s finished work to verify that it conforms to the contract documents before the work is accepted.
• Inspect interim contractor work to determine the quality of the finished work when the contract documents call for it.
• Meet with contractors daily to coordinate inspection, sampling, and testing of completed or in-progress work.
• Prepare daily inspection reports detailing construction activities, inspections, samples, tests, work progress, weather, visitors, deficient interim work, non-conforming permanent work, root causes of issues, and contractor corrective actions.
• Submit daily reports to the supervising Professional Engineer for review and feedback of any corrections before the Professional Engineer signs off on the reports.
• Other duties assigned by the Professional Engineer.
