WSP is currently initiating a search for a Construction Inspector for our Los Angeles, CA office. Be involved in projects with our Inspection Earth & Environment Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing inspection support, technical guidance, and oversight to ensure construction compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations.
• Performing and overseeing field inspections on multi-site/phase projects, examining concrete placement, underground pipelines, earthwork, paving, structures, materials, and systems.
• Generating reports and documentation regarding equipment, construction, and materials.
• Ensuring quality standards for design, safety, functionality, and sustainability are met.

Your Impact:

• Collecting and analyzing data from sites, plans, drawings, and reports.
• Performing inspections to verify conformance with applicable standards.
• Providing technical assistance and acting as a consultant on work progress and problem resolution.
• Leading or assisting inspection teams and attending pre-construction meetings.
• Documenting findings through reports, photographs, and drawings.
• Training entry-level staff and coordinating with clients and contractors.
• Staying current with inspection practices and exercising ethical decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma.
• At least 7 years of relevant post-education experience, including construction inspection.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of construction codes, inspection practices, and safety standards.
• Strong communication, analytical, and technical writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline.
