Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a talented QC Inspector to join our team!

This position requires 100% travel.

T5 Program Summary:

The FAA awarded Parsons the Technical Support Services Contract 5 (T5) in April 2023, with Parsons as the prime contractor. This $1.8+ billion contract spans 4 years with two 3-year options. It supports the FAA’s Capital Investment Plan, NextGen Program, security, and safety initiatives across the nation, including site selection, engineering, construction, environmental and fire safety, equipment installation and testing, drafting, and contract surveillance. Work is conducted across FAA regions, at facilities in Oklahoma City and Atlantic City, and U.S. territories, with an average staff of 500, peaking over 650, plus subcontractors.

Position Overview:

The Resident Engineer will perform routine and well-defined quality control inspections on assigned projects or functional areas to ensure compliance with customer and Parsons requirements.

Projects may include:
  • Air Traffic Control Towers Modernization
  • Airport NAVAIDS Upgrades
  • UIS Tower Replacement
  • Tenant Improvements
  • Telecommunication Upgrades
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections and surveillances based on received training.
  • Collaborate with project team members and management.
  • Implement and record inspection, examination, and testing procedures.
  • Inspect subcontractor work and document findings.
  • Perform First-Article / In-Process Inspections as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
  • Communicate inspection results clearly and concisely.
  • Understand contract and subcontractor requirements.
  • Perform additional related functions as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of experience or 10+ years of equivalent work experience with a high school diploma.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Windows, Word, Excel, and scheduling software.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Ability to meet security requirements; a background check will be conducted.
  • Previous federal agency construction experience preferred.
  • Experience with digital photography and uploading files.
  • Self-motivated and quick learner.
