Job summary

TPD, a top design firm, is hiring Construction Inspectors at multiple levels in the United States. Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of inspection experience, NICET I-IV, and strong teamwork abilities.

A background in civil engineering and certifications such as ACI, NJSAT, TCC or CCTC are preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and a valid driver's license. The role involves daily on-site inspection of roadways, bridges, and related infrastructure, documenting progress,

Qualifications

• Experience with roadway, structural, and ADA inspections is required or preferred.
• 3+ years of construction inspection experience on multiple projects.
• NICET I-IV preferred; other certifications (ACI/NJSAT/TCC/CCTC) valued.
• EIT or B.S. in Civil Engineering is a plus (not required).

Responsibilities

• Provide daily inspection of construction work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications across roadways, structures, and drainage.
• Document observations and prepare daily inspection reports and other required documents.
• Measure and record quantities for payment and prepare as-built drawings.
• Serve as on-site project representative for assigned projects.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide daily inspection of construction work within a given discipline to ensure the project complies with plans and specifications. Such as Roadway Inspection of earthwork, drainage, paving, etc.; Structural inspection of foundations, piles, concrete, deck formwork, MSE walls, sign structures, etc.; ADA Compliance Inspection of curb ramps and sidewalks, etc.; Traffic Signal Inspections
• Document all on-site observations of construction progress, equipment, manpower, and materials on a Daily Inspection Report and various other reports required
• Measure and record quantities for payment
• Prepare as-built drawings
• Serving as on-site project representative.

Job Requirements

• At least one or more of the following certifications are preferred: ACI, NJSAT, TCC or CCTC.
• NICET Certification: I-IV is preferred.
• EIT or B.S. in Civil Engineering is a plus (not required)
• Experience with bridge construction is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and ability to meet multiple deadlines
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid Driver’s License
