Job summary

MAM Gruppe is recruiting a commercially minded In-House Counsel to oversee construction law matters throughout the project lifecycle in Washington, DC. You will advise on contract formation, draft and negotiate subcontracts and design agreements, and help manage risk and compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a J.D. with active bar membership and at least 5 years of construction law experience, across in-house, private practice, or owner-side roles.

Qualifications

• Must hold a J.D. and be an active bar member.
• Minimum 5 years in construction law, in-house or related settings.
• Strong knowledge of AIA, ConsensusDocs and FIDIC contract forms.
• Experience with lien laws and dispute resolution.

Responsibilities

• Advise on contract formation and subcontracts.
• Draft and negotiate design agreements and related contracts.
• Manage dispute resolution mechanisms and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with project teams and executive leadership.
