Job summary

MICON Group, Inc. is seeking a Health Safety & Environmental Coordinator to support onsite and travel across the United States.

The role involves leading safety programs, conducting site visits, audits, incident investigations, and emergency response efforts to protect workers and the environment. You will facilitate safety trainings, participate in environmental assessments, and help implement and enforce HSE programs across projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a safety professional in the construction industry.
• 5+ years of experience as a safety professional in the construction industry (desired).
• OSHA 30hr (Construction) for construction training, or ability to obtain within approved timeframe.
• OSHA 510 and 500 (desired).
• BCSP Certification (CHST, ASP, SCP) (desired).
• Willingness to travel throughout the United States, about 75%, which may include extended duration, is required.
• Accredited degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Construction (desired).

Responsibilities

• Conduct various HSE activities including weekly job-site visitations, audits and inspections, loss incident investigations, emergency response, performing environmental assessments and evaluations of facilities and job locations.
• Assist operations with implementation and compliance of existing HSE programs.
• Ability to identify and correct jobsite hazards specific to the construction industry.
• Confident public speaker who can facilitate safety trainings and meetings.
