Job summary

Crestwood Construction Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented HR Manager to lead on-site payroll and benefits administration in Truckee, CA. This role supports people operations with precise processing and confidentiality in a fast-paced construction setting.

Reporting to the Finance Department with HR input, you will oversee payroll processing, benefits, leave programs, compliance, and data integrity while supporting a small HR team and delivering an exceptional employee experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in payroll and/or benefits administration, CA experience preferred.
• Experience with ExakTime and Sage 100 Contractor preferred.
• Strong understanding of payroll compliance, benefits administration, and leave laws (FMLA, CFRA, PFL).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll and audit for accuracy.
• Maintain and update employee records in ExakTime and Sage 100 Contractor.
• Process payroll taxes, 401(k), and child support payments.
• File and prepare quarterly payroll reports, W-2s, and workers’ compensation reports.
• Manage health insurance and 401(k) deductions and benefits administration.
• Administer leave programs (FMLA, CFRA, PFL) and payroll coordination.
• Support onboarding, offboarding, and employee files.
