Job summary

Sundt Careers is seeking an Assistant Craft Helper to support skilled trades on construction projects in Arizona. The role involves assisting craftsmen, maintaining safety, and following supervision on tasks appropriate to training and skill level.

Candidates should have good math, basic communication skills, and a willingness to learn. The position is physically demanding, requires wearing PPE, and may involve long shifts in varying temperatures.

Qualifications

• NCCER Core Curriculum or a High School diploma preferred.
• 1 year experience (level I), two years' experience (level II) and three plus years' experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry is preferred.
• Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Effective Math skills - add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Eliminate WASTE such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage and time.
• If unsure about any aspect of the work or issues regarding safe practices ask a supervisor before continuing.
• Learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work.
• Learn to safely and effectively use or operate work related tools and equipment.
• Look for opportunities for improvement in all tasks, means and methods regarding the work and be willing to learn from others.
• Maintain positive working relationships with all members of the crew.
• Produce high quality work, safely and productively at all times.
• Provide feedback to ensure all materials, tools, equipment and information is available for the work.
