Construction Material Testing seeks a Business Development Manager to own the market, cultivating relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms, driving the pipeline from initial contact to signed testing and inspection work.

You will collaborate with a seller-doer engineer who handles pricing and the technical side while you manage relationships, proposals, and the close, including field travel and planning meetings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• Existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms.
• Own relationships end to end and manage the pursuit pipeline in the CRM.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events.
• Report pipeline and results monthly.
• Run the pursuit pipeline in CRM from first contact through proposal, negotiation, and signed agreement.
