Job summary

DNT Construction, LLC is seeking a Construction Grade Checker for rough and precise grading. The role involves reading plans, laying out the crew and project, and calculating grade-related metrics to keep projects on schedule.

Candidates should be able to work Monday through Saturday, endure outdoor conditions, and operate surveying tools including GPS and laser equipment in compliance with OSHA and DNT safety policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in using measuring instruments and hand tools.
• Training in marking and reading survey stakes to determine grade specs.
• Ability to observe and direct equipment excavating to conform to stake references and communicate with operators.

Responsibilities

• Understand plans and specs and lay out crew and project.
• Provide clear direction for cut/fill, set hubs and stakes.
• Calculate percentages, volumes, areas and production rates.
• Set grade accurately and operate GPS/laser equipment within safety policies.
