Qualifications

• BS degree in construction management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work of all construction subtrades with the main office.
• Monitor inspections and coordinate agency site visits.
• Read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and landscape drawings.
• Review shop drawings and reports from inspection agencies.
• Prepare daily reports and progress photos.
• Use Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel; manage PDFs and documents.
• Collaborate with designers, subcontractors, PMs, and officials to solve issues.
• Enforce site safety standards.

If you are currently a General Superintendent that oversees multiple large commercial construction projects and their Teams, we would love to talk with you! Must be able to "hit the ground running" at this level!!

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the work of all construction subtrades in conjunction with the main office.
• Arrange, monitor and be present for agency inspections.
• Read and comprehend information contained in architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and landscape drawings and specifications.
• Review shop drawings and other report prepared by testing and inspection agencies
• Prepare daily report forms, and progress photographs.
• Working knowledge familiarity with computer operating systems including Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel; and opening, preparing, scanning, printing, and sending PDF files and other documents.
• Actively engage design professionals, subcontractors, project managers and local officials, when needed, to problem solve, mitigate conflicts, and resolve disputes.
• Enforce job site safety standards.

Requirements

Education:

• BS Degree in Construction Management or related field

Experience:

• 7+ year's experience in large scale multifamily or commercial ground up construction

Skills/Abilities:

• Complete understanding of the construction process
• Must be proficient in reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings
• Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors and clients
• Self-motivated
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Willing to take on multiple responsibilities and complete a variety of tasks to complete projects on time
• High school diploma or GED with 10+ years of related experience
• Knowledge of current building codes and ADA laws.
• Experience with site construction, precast, wood framing, MEP trades, and interior finishes
• A demonstrated understanding of multifamily construction means and methods
• Experience in alternative building methods and value engineering
• Microsoft Office suite to include Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
• Microsoft Project scheduling software

• Procore construction management software
• Ability to work independently leading a small team overseeing the entire construction life cycle
• Review all construction documentation, owner building standards and finish schedules to execute on site
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP trade drawings
• Well organized and ability to forecast all upcoming scopes of work for timely completion
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, understanding that your scheduled workdays may vary according to staffing and project needs
