Job summary

Aerotek in Holmen, WI is seeking a Construction General Laborer for a contract-to-hire arrangement onsite. You will assist with carpentry and building tasks under site supervision, supporting crews on commercial, industrial, institutional, and agricultural projects.

Responsibilities include rough and finish carpentry, framing, trim, drywall, and concrete formwork per project specs, while adhering to codes and safety standards. Prior hands-on construction experience is required.

Job Title: Construction General Laborer

Job Description

Work commercial, industrial, institutional, and agricultural building projects under the direct supervision of site superintendents and regular oversight from ownership. This role focuses on constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing wood, metal, plywood, wallboard, and related fixtures for both interior and exterior applications using a full range of carpenter's hand and power tools.

Responsibilities
  • Perform rough and finish carpentry, including framing, trim carpentry, drywall installation, and concrete formwork as required by project specifications.
  • Work on interiors and exteriors of commercial, industrial, institutional, and agricultural buildings, ensuring all work aligns with building codes and project standards.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency using carpenter's hand and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, fastening, and assembling wood, metal, plywood, and wallboard.
  • Ability to read and understand technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models to guide layout and installation work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working on commercial, industrial, institutional, or agricultural building projects.
  • Hands-on experience in concrete work and concrete finishing in a construction environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
