Job summary

Niels Fugal Sons Company, LLC is seeking a Foreman for our Telecom Underground team to lead crews in installing and maintaining underground telecom systems. You will ensure safety protocols and project timelines are followed.

Responsibilities include coordinating crew efforts, reading blueprints, training staff, and communicating with property owners while operating heavy equipment when required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Previous Foreman experience preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Train crew members
• Ensure safety policies, OSHA and DOT regulations
• Assist Supervisor with day-to-day activities
• Speak with property owners about work and resolve issues
• Safely use heavy equipment and machinery

What you’ll do

• Lead crews to meet project timelines
• Help with training of crew members
• Read and understand blueprints
• Help ensure everyone is following company safety policies, OSHA, and DOT regulations
• Assist Supervisor with day to day activities
• Speak with property owners about work to be performed and resolve any issues
• Safely use heavy equipment and machinery
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• A valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, relevant work experience, or a combination of education and work experience preferred
• At least three years of related work experience
• Previous Foreman experience preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
