Job summary

Star Construction LLC in Alabama is seeking a Foreman for our Telecom Underground team to lead crews installing and maintaining underground telecom systems. You will ensure safety, schedule adherence, and quality workmanship on active projects.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of relevant experience, foreman or supervisory background, and a valid driver’s license. You’ll mentor crew members, read blueprints, and coordinate with property owners to resolve issues in all weather.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related work experience.
• Foreman experience preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews to meet project timelines.
• Assist supervisor with day-to-day activities.
• Read and understand blueprints.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies (OSHA/DOT).
• Speak with property owners to resolve issues.
• Operate and maintain heavy equipment safely.
• Work in all weather conditions.
• Train crew members.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Lead crews to meet project timelines
• Help with training of crew members
• Read and understand blueprints
• Help ensure everyone is following company safety policies, OSHA, and DOT regulations
• Assist Supervisor with day to day activities
• Speak with property owners about work to be performed and resolve any issues
• Safely use heavy equipment and machinery
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• A valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, relevant work experience, or a combination of education and work experience preferred
• At least three years of related work experience
• Previous Foreman experience preferred

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
