Position Summary

This is a hands-on, full-time position responsible for leading a landscape construction crew of up to 6 members to implement landscape projects. This position requires knowledge in hardscape, plant material, outdoor lighting, water features, grading, snow removal, etc. The role involves keeping accurate records, promoting jobsite safety, and ensuring quality workmanship. The candidate must be an effective leader and motivator, with good character and integrity.

Salary: $29-34 + Bonus depending on education and experience.

Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead and instruct crews to produce high-quality and profitable work.
  • Emphasize safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment, providing safety training as needed.
  • Serve as the onsite ambassador to clients, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Teach and train crew members as needed.
  • Maintain and care for company equipment, tools, and vehicles.
  • Complete project documentation in an organized and timely manner.
  • Forecast equipment, labor, and material needs for efficient production.
  • Attend training classes and seminars as requested.
  • Assist with snow removal when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Landscape industry certification preferred.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of landscape installation experience (Required)
  • 4+ years of residential landscape construction experience (Required)
  • Crew management experience (Required)

Specialized Skills:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR; willing to provide proof.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
  • Self-motivated with strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret landscape plans.
  • Professional appearance and conduct.
  • Detail-oriented and quality-driven.
  • Well-organized with strong communication skills and multitasking ability.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Horticulture background is preferred.

Hours: Hours vary based on business needs; weekends may be required.
