Job summary

Software Placement Group (SPG) in the Columbia, SC area seeks a Finance Manager to lead its accounting and finance function across multiple legal entities. This on-site role reports to the VP and directs a finance team, overseeing close, policies, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in accounting and at least 5 years of related experience, including management experience in construction, with proficiency in Excel and familiarity with AI Billing

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
5+ years related experience; 1+ year in a manager role.
Construction industry experience required.
Experience with AI Billing software preferred.
Experience with Foundation Construction software a plus.

Responsibilities

Oversee accounts payable and receivable, inventory management, and general ledger maintenance.
Manage timely and accurate month-end close activities.
Maintain and document accounting policies and procedures.
Prepare and analyze month-end financial reports (month/quarter/YTD).
Coordinate completion of Weekly Flash Report and Monthly KPI workbook.
Provide analysis of results vs. budget/forecast and advise actions to improve results.
Analyze overhead costs and communicate trends.
Analyze project job costs and advise pricing strategies with leadership.
Create and maintain annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
Maintain banking relationships and cash flow forecasts.
Establish and maintain internal controls and insurance programs.
Coordinate financial statement reviews or audits as appropriate.
