Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a Financial Manager (Construction Controller) in Huntsville to lead Finance, Accounting, and Cost departments. This role serves as a partner to profit center projects, delivering GAAP-compliant financial reporting and risk management aligned with company policy.

The position reports to senior finance leaders and drives annual profit plans, forecasting, and performance reviews, while coaching a high-performing finance team and supporting strategic business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years in project or construction finance or related field.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and contract terms affecting financials.
• Analytical ability to review large data sets and forecast risks.
• Experience with financial oversight, planning, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage Finance, Accounting, and Cost departments and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Lead profit center financial reporting and risk management.
• Develop and deliver training for staff on department processes.
• Provide financial leadership for core business activities and new opportunities.
• Collaborate with profit center executives and GM on strategies and plans.
• Oversee cash management and bonding/insurance coordination as required.
• Oversee billing, collections, and compliance with internal policies.
