Job summary

F.A. Wilhelm Construction is seeking a Finance Director to strengthen financial operations, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting oversight.

You will work with the CFO, Controller, and Accounting Managers to enhance accuracy and efficiency of financial processes. Responsibilities include preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports; monitoring budgets and variances; analyzing cash flow and expenses; supporting audits; and ensuring GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in accounting/finance/business or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in accounting/finance/financial reporting/financial analysis.
• CPA preferred; combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (income statements, balance sheets, cash flows).
• Develop and review annual budgets, forecasts, and projections; monitor variances.
• Analyze cash flow, AR, billings, working capital, and other key financials.
• Identify opportunities, risks, and improvements from financial data.
• Assist with planning and forecasting to support business decisions.
• Support audits by preparing documentation and addressing discrepancies.
• Maintain internal controls and GAAP compliance.
• Recommend improvements to reporting, processes, and systems.
• Collaborate across departments to provide financial information for decisions.
• Own financial projects and research complex issues to improve accuracy.
