Hotel Rehabs is seeking a Director of Finance & Accounting (Construction) to own our financial strategy and lead the F&A department from day one. This role partners with the CEO/COO to drive a 50% growth plan from $50MM to $100MM while shaping the company’s funding, staffing, and systems.

Based in Chicago with nationwide scope, the leader will align accounting, treasury, and governance with rapid expansion, reporting to the executive team and influencing strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years leading finance at a general contractor or construction firm.
• Fluent in percentage-of-completion revenue and related processes.
• Proven leader who grows and coaches high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO/COO to build a growth-focused financial plan for 50% expansion over three years.
• Lead the F&A team, develop systems, and provide clear financial visibility for smarter decisions.
• Own Construction Accounting duties: WIP, revenue recognition, billings, job costing, and profitability.
• Ensure multi-state compliance including licensing, sales/use tax across 35+ states.
• Manage cash, bonding, banking relationships, and insurance to protect growth.
• Support planning and reporting with clear metrics and forecasts.
