Job summary

Intertek – Westminster, CO is seeking an Engineering Field Technician I to perform testing and site assessments in the greater Denver area. The role involves operating testing equipment, analyzing data, and reporting results under supervision.

The ideal candidate may have construction exposure or materials testing experience, a valid driver’s license, and the willingness to travel up to 25% with occasional overtime. Benefits include a robust package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Some experience in the construction industry
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record
• Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound
• Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures
• Ability to climb occasionally, and work at various heights
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous construction materials testing experience
• Certifications including ACI, ICC, PTI, WAQTC, etc.

Responsibilities

• Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (example: Soil, concrete or other) and provide assessment of data through reporting
• Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams
• Use specific methods and perform tasks to make detailed observations of site activities and give limited interpretation of results
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results
